Facts
On Aug. 20, 1997, Katherine Williams drove with her son, who was restrained in the front passenger seat, south on I25 when Christine HolmeÆs vehicle struck the rear of
WilliamÆs vehicle. The plaintiffs alleged that they were injured in the collision. The defendant alleged that this was a low impact collision that caused $385 in property
damage to the plaintiffÆs vehicle. The defendant denied causation and denied the nature and extent of the plaintiffsÆ claimed injuries and damages.
Settlement Discussions
There was a $25,000 joint demand and an $8,900 final offer to Katherine Williams and $5,000 to Anteaus Williams.
Injuries
Katherine Williams sustained cervical thoracic and lumbar strains as well as headaches and dizziness. There were medical bills of $15,000. Anteaus Williams sustained cervical strain resulting in cervicogenic-referred headaches. The PIP carrier paid medical bills of $9,400.
