Beder Rosales sued Octavio Prieto in connection with a motor vehicle accident.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff was allegedly driving at a Costco parking lot in San Jose when he collided with defendant's vehicle. He sustained injuries as a result, and sued defendant for negligence. Plaintiff alleged defendant was reversing out of a parking spot when the collision occurred. Plaintiff claimed defendant failed to keep a proper look out as he was reversing.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant disputed plaintiff's claimed injuries.

Damages

Rosales requested $2,080 in past medical expenses.

Injuries

Rosales claimed sprains and strains all over his body, including his back and neck. He also claimed he suffered headaches and other pain. He treated with a chiropractor for several months.

Result

The parties reached a $4,000 settlement.
