Facts

Aristocrat Technologies sued International Game Technology (IGT) alleging patent infringement related to gaming machines. Aristocrat sued IGT on patents related to multi-level progressives, while IGT sued Aristocrat on patents related to authentication of software in slot machines.

Result

The parties settled the matter by agreeing to cross-license the subject patents subject to certain royalty obligations.
