A class action was filed against Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), Geosyntec Consultants Inc., Parsons Corp., several others for damages caused by unpermitted discharge or release of coal ash sludge that contaminated the waterways and surrounding environment.

Damages

Damages were sought for property damages and medical monitoring claims were also asserted.

Result

TVA's motions for summary judgment were granted in part and denied in part.
