Camco Pacific hired Ward Construction, a licensed contractor, to supply labor and materials on a Walmart Store in Covina. Ward invoiced Camco and was not paid in full.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Ward contended that Camco owed $109,000 for Walmart and another project.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Camco contended that some Ward employees were not United States citizens and that certain workers needed to be separately licensed from Ward.

Settlement Discussions

Ward offered to settle for $93,000. Camco's first offer was $40,000.

Result

The case settled for $78,428.
