Theresa Leonard sued Metlife Insurance Co. for breach of contract and other causes of action.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Metlife issued a group disability insurance policy to Leonard and Leonard's employer, under which Leonard was entitled to receive disability benefits including partial replacement income lost as a result of disability. However, Metlife failed to properly pay Leonard's claim for benefits.

Result

The court ruled in favor of Metlife.
