Injuries
Buenrostro claimed injuries to her lower back, neck, and left shoulder, which she treated with a chiropractor. Ultimately, she underwent surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff caused by the accident. She suffered another tear in the same rotator cuff and had to undergo a second surgery to repair it. Despite the surgeries and treatments, she claimed she continued to experience pain in her back and shoulders, which also limited her ability to use her shoulder.
Result
Austin accepted Buenrotro's CCP 998 offer to settle for $99,999.
