Morteza Shamsnia, an individual, and on behalf of all others similarly situated sued Anaco, Tyler Pipe Co., and McWane Inc. relating to an alleged defective pipe that caused flooding to his condominium unit.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Morteza Shamsnia owned a condominium in Los Angeles. He sued his upstairs neighbor and the homeowner's association alleging that their failure to maintain pipes in the building caused flooding damage to his unit in February 2010. He sued the alleged pipe manufacturers Anaco, Tyler Pipe Co., and McWane Inc. four years later in February 2014.
Result
The court determined that Shamsia's claims were barred by the three year statute of limitations for damage to real property and granted summary judgment for defendants.
