Facts
On April 1, 2008, a vehicle driven by defendant Eric Ho collided with a vehicle driven by plaintiff Tearna Sankofa. Sankofa and her mother, Alaine Sankofa, filed an action against Ho and Wen-Ying Ho, who owned the vehicle. Prior to trial, Alaine dismissed her claim and Wen-Ying Ho was dismissed as a defendant.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff claimed that Ho operated the vehicle in a negligent manner. Further, plaintiff argued that Ho ran a stop sign and unexpectedly drove out in front of Tearna.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant conceded responsibility before trial such that damages were the only issue in court.
Damages
Plaintiff sought $25,000.
Injuries
Plaintiff claimed back and neck injuries, requiring chiropractic care, massage, and physical therapy.
