Facts

On Feb. 17, 2010, plaintiff Sukhdev Grewal, age 78 at the time, was visiting a family member at Regional Medical Center in San Jose, CA. While walking the corridors, Isidro Rocha, acting within the scope of his employment with defendant Campus Laundry failed to properly control a laundry cart, colliding with plaintiff and knocking her to the ground.

Settlement Discussions

Plaintiff's demand of $250,000 was accepted by defendant.

Injuries

Plaintiff suffered injuries to her shoulder, as well as a fracture to her hip, requiring surgery.

Result

The case settled for $250,000.

Other Information

Regional Medical Center where plaintiff was treated for her injuries, filed a Civil Code 3045 lien against plaintiff's settlement. Plaintiff and RMC reached a settlement of the 3045 lien after completion of this case. FILING DATE: July 2, 2010.
