Randolph Robledo sued Vondale Avery and Wilson Avery, in connection with a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle that allegedly occurred on Jan. 14, 2015.
Plaintiff sued the driver, Vondale, and the owner of the vehicle, Wilson. Wilson was ultimately let out of the case and the matter proceeded against Vondale only.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff, who was riding his motorcycle, was stopped at Gribble Dr.'s intersection with Lausanne Dr. in San Diego when a vehicle making a left onto Gribble Dr. from Laussane Dr. struck him. Plaintiff was thrown to the ground and sustained injury his wrist and shoulder. Plaintiff sued the driver and the owner for negligence and vicarious liability.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant disputed plaintiff's claimed shoulder injury.
Damages
Robledo sought $130,000 in past medical expenses.
Injuries
Robledo fractured his left wrist, which required an emergency surgery. He was later diagnosed with tendon tears in his biceps and labrum for which he underwent physical therapy. Despite conservative treatment, he continued to experience pain and underwent surgery to repair his right shoulder.
Result
The parties reached a $150,000 settlement.
