Katrina Allison filed a class action against LSI Products Inc. dba Pro Armor, concerning its Pro Armor brand utility vehicle after-market doors.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant allegedly advertised the doors safe when they actually provided no safety benefit to users. Rather, the doors only had an aesthetic purpose.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant denied the allegations.

Result

The parties reached a settlement, which would provide eligible members with a $60 gift card or 10 percent off discount coupon. The settlement had a potential value of $2.25 million. Also as part of the settlement, LSI agreed to refrain from advertising the doors as providing some safety benefit.
