Claimant contended that respondent violated the law with respect to claimant's investment in BlackRock Multi-Sector Income Trust. Miller asserted causes of action for fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing, elder abuse, violation of unfair business practices, and violations of federal and state securities laws and FINRA conduct rules.

RESPONDENT'S CONTENTIONS:
Respondent denied the allegations and asserted various affirmative defenses. It brought a motion for expungement on behalf of unnamed party Alex Ganapolsky, seeking expungement of his registration records of all references to the arbitration.

Result

The arbitration panel recommended expungement.
