Alexander came under the care of defendants between March 21, 2014 and August 2014 for injuries to her spine. Defendants allegedly failed to properly diagnose and treat her cervical spine injury and caused her further injuries to her spine when she was injected on March 21.

Alexander's husband, Jeremy Alexander, claimed loss of consortium as a result of his wife's injuries.
