Facts

Plaintiff AR International Anti-Fraud Systems (AR), a private investigation firm, captured two international fugitives and turned them into defendant Interpol Pretoria, a division of the South African Police Force. The fugitives were convicted of the crimes. AR alleged that it was not paid its reward of over $7 million and sued for breach of contract.

Result

The court dismissed the complaint and entered judgment for Interpol Pretoria on the basis that the court lacked subject matter jurisdiction under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, personal jurisdiction, and the claim was barred by statute of limitations.
