Facts

A consolidated complaint was filed against Google Inc. relating to Google's privacy policy.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiffs challenged Google's introduction of a new, unified privacy policy that permitted the commingling of user data across different Google products. Plaintiffs also challenged the disclosure of this data to third parties.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant moved to dismiss plaintiffs' lawsuits for lack of standing. Google argued that plaintiffs didn't sufficiently allege any injury-in-fact that was traceable to Google. Google also argued that plaintiffs failed to state a claim upon which relief may be granted.

Result

U.S. Magistrate Judge granted Google's motion to dismiss.
