Facts

Plaintiff, a prison inmate, was the Secretary for the prisoners' Advisory Council. Plaintiff submitted an administrative appeal asserting that the prison's medical care was inadequate. He also filed a petition for writ of habeus corpus on similar grounds. Subsequently, prison officials transferred the plaintiff into a protective custody unit, contending that they had found a note indicating that his life was in danger.

Plaintiff contended no such threat existed and that Defendant failed to verify the threat.

Plaintiff sued prison employees, alleging due process and retaliation claims when officials transferred him to a segregation unit as a response to his medical appeal.

Result

Defense.
