Facts

On June 28, 2010, at 12:30 am., plaintiff Lepakshi Nadh Jilakara, 35, became lost and could not find his hotel. A City of San Francisco police officer offered to give Plaintiff a ride to his hotel. The officer was driving a K-9 unit vehicle at the time. When Plaintiff opened the backseat door to enter the car, the police dog attacked him. Plaintiff subsequently sued the City and County of San Francisco.

Result

Settlement in the amount of $40,000.
