Facts

A class action was filed against the City and County of San Francisco alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the California Labor Code for unpaid wages, unpaid overtime compensation, unpaid hours worked, compensation for failure to provide meal breaks, time spend "donning" protective gear, pre-shift activities, related travel, post-shift work, and all other work performed for the benefit of Defendant. Class members were current and former sworn personnel employed by the City's police department.

Result

The City agreed to settle the matter for $77,073.
