On Dec. 28, 2012, plaintiff's vehicle was rear-ended by a utility vehicle driven by Gregory Gonzalez, an employee with the County of Los Angeles Fire Department. The collision occurred on Palos Verdes Drive North, in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff contended that Gonzalez negligently operated his vehicle and that the County of Los Angeles was vicariously liable.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
Defendants denied plaintiff's allegations and asserted various affirmative defenses.
