Fred Nazif sued his former employer Computer Sciences Corp. following his termination from employment.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff accused defendant of firing him in retaliation for reporting defendant's securities law violations and for refusing to participate in the company's illegal conduct. Plaintiff asserted claims for wrongful termination in violation of public policy, retaliation in violation of the Labor Code, and retaliation for engaging in Dodd-Frank protected activity.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant moved for summary judgment for failing to state a claim for relief.

Result

The court found, among other things, that Nazif failed to submit sufficient evidence showing that he was engaged in protected, whistleblower activity under the Dodd-Frank Act.
