Facts

Between 1984 and 1994, Gregory Bowman accompanied his father, Gordon Bowman, to his job within the painting industry. Eventually, Gregory Bowman developed kidney cancer and died as a result. Gregory's wife, plaintiff Melissa Bowman, and his daughter, plaintiff Sierra Bowman, filed suit against Flint Group Inc. and approximately 50 other companies alleging negligence, strict liability, and breach of warranty.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiffs contended that exposure to the toxic chemicals contained in defendants' products caused Gregory's cancer.

Result

The plaintiffs accepted a settlement from Flint Group in the amount of $10,000.

Other Information

This is a partial settlement. The total settlement including other defendants is over $200,000 to date. The case is still pending as to one remaining defendant.
