Facts
On April 20, 2007, Bianca Calva sat as a passenger in a vehicle driven by Alfredo Trujillo and owned by Angelina Trujillo. They were on Sierra Way in Fontana. Due to rain, the road was wet, and the vehicle hydroplaned. The vehicle crashed into another vehicle driven by Ayde Devora and owned by Ismael Devora. Calva sued the Trujillos and the Devoras alleging negligence.
Injuries
Calva suffered chest injury, shoulder injury, back pain, anxiety, distal clavicle fracture, right rib fracture, and left lung contusion.
Result
The parties settled for $17,000 ($15,000 for the Trujillos; $2,000 for the Devoras).
