Facts

Plaintiff class consisting of 858 in-store assistant managers employed in California Best Buy store between June 4, 1998 to Feb. 28, 2003. The plaintiffs contended class members were improperly classified as exempt from California overtime requirements, and unlawfully denied overtime compensation for overtime hours worked.

The defendant denied that class members were improperly classified as exempt.

Result

Plaintiff class settled for $13,750,000.
