Rene Juarez was driving south on the I-5 freeway in San Diego when he rear-ended a vehicle driven by Jeremy Traska, followed by a collision with the left rear of Axel Soezeri's vehicle. Juarez has no memory of the collision due to his intoxication. The impact caused Soezeri's vehicle to spin across all lanes of traffic, eventually striking the center divider.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Soezeri filed suit against Juarez, alleging motor vehicle negligence.

Damages

Soezeri sought damages of $7,000 in past medical expenses, $25,000 in future medical expenses, and punitive damages.
