Steven Bisharat was driving on Highland Avenue with Anastacia Carrington as a passenger, when he stopped for traffic and was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Federico Vale.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Bisharat and Carrington filed suit against Vale, alleging motor vehicle negligence.
Damages
Bisharat sought $20,554 in medical expenses and Carrington sought $19,343 in medical damages.
Injuries
Bisharat sustained a cervical spine sprain and impingement syndrome of his left shoulder. Carrington suffered an acute traumatic sprain of the cervical spine, thoratic spine, and lumbar spine, and acute traumatic sprain of the left shoulder.
Result
Bisharat settled before trial. The case proceeded to trial with plaintiff Carrington versus defendant Bisharat. The jury awarded Carrington $7,505.
