Facts

This case concerned claims for construction deficiencies existing in 14 single family homes located in Chico, California. The homes were constructed between 2000 and 2005 by Drake Homes, Inc., as part of the Foothill Park subdivision. Drake Homes, Inc., was the developer and subcontracted out the construction of the homes to various subcontractors who were named as cross-defendants.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiffs contended that their homes are suffering from construction defects resulting from the negligent design, development, construction and repair of their respective homes. The construction defects complained of include, but are not limited to, leaking windows, stucco cracks, drywall cracks, framing deficiencies, tile cracks, and concrete cracks.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
Defendants and cross-defendants deny any and all liability.

Result

The parties settled for $161,000.00.
