Facts

On Nov. 21, 2008, plaintiff Shannon Kelly, a 25-year-old law student was driving home when she was struck by defendant Colleen Marie W. Foroozandeh on plaintiff driver's side door and rear. Defendant allegedly ran the stop sign prior to impact with plaintiff's car. Defendant was allegedly driving under the influence and arrested at the scene and later convicted.

Defendant admitted liability and causation.

Settlement Discussions

Plaintiff demanded $15,000. Defendant offered $7,500.

Injuries

Plaintiff suffered loss of cervical lordosis, lumbar strain/sprain. Plaintiff also suffered symptoms of severe pain in back, neck and lower back areas.
