Pamela Gossoo filed a class action against Microsoft Corp. alleging violation of the Song-Beverly Credit Card Act.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff contended that sales associates for Microsoft stores in California made requests for personal identification information from customers. Plaintiff contended that the requests suggested that doing so was mandatory for the completion of the transaction. However, plaintiff contended that such practice violated the Act

Result

U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson concluded that the action was not amenable to class-wide determination and thereby, denied class certification.
