Don Verdejo filed a class action against Vanguard Piping Systems alleging that the company produced or distributed defective Viega Brass Fittings.
Contentions
PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiffs contended that defendant manufactured and/or distributed products that were inadequate or were of poor or insufficient quality. Plaintiffs also contended that defendant's products were defective.
Injuries
Plaintiffs allegedly suffered injuries and damages due to alleged defects in certain plumbing systems fittings or components manufactured and/or distributed by Vanguard.
Result
Without admitting to any wrongdoing or liability, Vanguard agreed to settle the lawsuit. Vanguard agreed to provide a limited warranty and pay claimants reasonable costs and expenses related to eligible failures that fall within the limited warranty.
