Plaintiff Charlotte Turina was a manager at a convenience store and gas station. Plaintiff filed a suit alleging age discrimination under the Fair Employment & Housing Act, and wrongful termination in violation of public policy.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff presented evidence of age discrimination with testimony that the supervisor stated plaintiff was too old to be working. Plaintiff also presented evidence from another store manager who was terminated after reporting the same supervisor made age related negative comments to him.
Plaintiff contended there was no investigation, and the audit was a result of a new point of sale system that was installed.
DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
Defendants contended that plaintiff was terminated from her position for allegedly having a bad store audit and refusing to assist in an investigation of the audit results.
