Cassie Freeman sued Greg LeFever, in connection with an incident at a company boot camp.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff alleged that she was attending a company boot camp where the instructor, defendant LeFever, instructed her to attach an exercise band to a table and perform an exercise. She did as instructed, and as she did, the band pulled the table over, causing it to slam into her head. Plaintiff alleged that defendant was negligent in instructing her to perform the exercise and in failing to secure the table.

Injuries

Freeman claimed she lacerated her scalp, requiring stitches and leaving a scar on her forehead. She claimed she continued to experience humiliation and embarrassment due to the scar on her face.

Result

The parties reached a $45,000 settlement.
