Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff contended that he was beaten by defendants after he refused to sign a false statement concerning his termination from employment. Plaintiff contended that although defendants had a right to terminate his employment, they had no right to force him to sign a false statement and then beat him for his refusal to do so. Plaintiff asserted claims for civil assault and battery, breach of contract, unfair business practices, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and declaratory relief.
DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
Defendants denied plaintiff's allegations.
Injuries
Jayo claimed he sustained bruises and that the incident caused him to suffer high blood pressure.
Result
King Ambulance was let out of the case. Ultimately, the jury returned a judgment for the defense.
