Facts
On Nov. 28, 2006, defendant Jeanine Cabrera, driving a vehicle owned by Janet Roddy, tried to turn left into a fast food restaurant. At that point in time, plaintiff Fazel Khalil, who was driving his vehicle in the left-turn lane on a green signal, crashed into the side of the other vehicle. Khalil sued Cabrera and Roddy. Cabrera cross-complained against Khalil, seeking indemnification, apportionment of fault, and declaratory relief. The court dismissed the cross-complaint.
Damages
Khalil sought $3,000 for property damage, $420 for a rental vehicle, $6,374 in medical costs, and $3,819 for lost wages.
Injuries
Khalil's wife, Aisha Khalil, claimed loss of consortium.
Result
The jury returned a defense verdict.
