University of Phoenix and Apollo Group Inc. filed a copyright infringement suit against Chegg Inc., Student of Fortune Inc., Daniel Rosensweig, Sean Mccleese and Nikhil Sreenath, alleging violations of copyright law in relation to its course materials. Chegg owned the website www.studentoffortune.com.

Result

The parties agreed to settle the matter. The settlement included increased monitoring technology for the Student of Fortune website to protect the academic content and intellectual property rights of the University, as well as monetary compensation.
