Facts

Dolores Rodriguez, Karla Rodriguez, and Miriam Rodriguez filed a personal injury and property damages lawsuit against Richard Pierce.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiffs alleged that Richard Pierce was driving north bound on a street and ran a red light at an intersection and struck the plaintiffs' vehicle that was traveling eastbound at the intersection. Plaintiffs argued that Karla, who was driving, had a green light and Dolores and Miriam were passengers in the vehicle.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant argued that plaintiffs caused the accident by running a red light. Defendant contended that a neutral witness standing at a nearby bus stop saw plaintiff run the red light.

Defendant claimed plaintiffs alleged collusion between defendant and the independent witness.
