PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff alleged that defendant fired its employee, who suffered from breast cancer, after she requested medical leave exceeding the hospitals six-month policy. Plaintiff alleged that such conduct constituted disability discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Result

Children's Hospital & Research Center agreed to pay $300,000 in settlement and to amend its policies to prevent future discrimination.
