Facts

Lynne Lyle, Jordan Lyle, Dylan Lyle, Corey Lyle, Kurt Lyle, individually, and as Heirs of Freeman Lyle Jr. sued various defendants including William Kim, M.D., in connection with the allegedly wrongful death of Freeman Lyle.

Lynne Lyle was the decedent's surviving spouse, and the other named plaintiffs were the decedent's surviving children. Plaintiffs were decedent's sole heirs at law.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
The decedent allegedly came under the care of defendant doctors from Oct. 4, 2013 and until his death on Oct. 15, due, allegedly, to defendants' negligence. Defendants allegedly failed to properly care for and diagnose the decedent's intracranial pressures and pneumonia.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
Defendants denied the allegations. Defendant Dr. Kim moved for summary judgment.

Result

The court granted Dr. Kim's unopposed summary judgment motion. The case is still ongoing against three other defendants.
