PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff claimed defendant stole power for a marijuana farm. Plaintiff asserted causes of action for breach of contract, services rendered, conversion, and power theft in violation of Civil Code Section 1882.1.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant denied any liability, and claimed his tenant, Jian Pan Su, was responsible for the alleged power diversion.
Result
The jury rendered a verdict in favor of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District on most of its claims and determined damages totaled $37,215. A motion for attorney fees was filed by plaintiff and the parties agreed to a stipulated judgment in the amount of $157,000.
