Allegedly, on Jan. 14, 2008, plaintiff Michael Porchia, who was riding in the front passenger seat of a 1996 Honda Accord driven by defendant Billy Conner, was injured when the Accord collided with a 1992 Saturn SL1 driven by Maria Mundy. The collision allegedly occurred at the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Rodeo Road in Los Angeles. Porchia filed suit against Conner.
Contentions
PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Porchia claimed that Conner negligently operated his vehicle and caused Porchia injuries and resulting damage. Specifically, Porchia alleged that Conner failed to slow and/or stop when Mundy's Saturn began slowing and/or stopping in front of him. As a result, Porchia claimed, Conner rear-ended Mundy's Saturn.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Conner contended that no such accident occurred and asserted that he did not cause Porchia's injuries and damages.

A verdict was returned for the defense.
