Plaintiff filed a lawsuit against Pacific Bell Telephone Co., doing business as AT&T California.
Contentions
PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff alleged that she began working for defendant in 1998 as a service representative and was placed on medical leave by her physician in November 2010, due to physical and mental disabilities. Plaintiff further alleged that while she was on medical leave, defendant constantly pressured her to return to work. Plaintiff contended that although she continuously provided defendant with updates regarding her medical status, defendant terminated her employment on May 10, 2011 because she had not returned to work.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendant denied the allegations of plaintiff's claims.
Result
Following a hearing on defendant's motion for summary judgment, the court granted the motion and, thereafter, entered judgment in favor of defendant.
Other Information
Plaintiff has filed a notice of appeal and intends on appealing the court's ruling. FILING DATE: April 29, 2013.
