Facts

Plaintiff Evander Holyfield, a former heavyweight champion boxer, brought an action against an auction company, seeking an injunction to prevent the company from selling certain sports memorabilia items from his career. Holyfield and the auction company arranged to sell his memorabilia, but when Holyfield saw that the sales list included his Olympic medal and certain unique, sentimental items, he objected.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Holyfield contended that he did not agree to sell approximately a dozen of the hundreds of items on the sales list because he wanted to eventually give those specific items to his family.

Result

Sales of the disputed items are blocked because Holyfield would suffer irreparable harm.
