On Aug. 14, 2006, Boettner was rear-ended on Sierra Boulevard near the Valley Boulevard intersection in Fontana by defendant Diane Mitchell. The collision between Boettner and Mitchell caused Boettner to collide with another vehicle that was in front of her. Boettner's son, defendant Drew Boettner, 8, was a passenger in Boettner's vehicle. Boettner filed suit for motor vehicle negligence.
