Facts

On Dec. 10, 2004, Lillie Dozier, a 67-year-old African-American, was terminated from her employment with KMAN Enterprises Inc. after working as a housekeeping supervisor since July 1999. Defendant Gondo Lystio dba Mt Zion Enterprises Inc., had successor liability for defendant KMAN Enterprises Inc.

Plaintiff Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed the complaint on Dozier's behalf.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
EEOC contended that defendants wrongfully terminated Dozier because of her age and her race.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
The defendants countered that there was no discrimination and Dozier was terminated for proper reasons.

Result

Dozier accepted a settlement of $25,000.
