Facts

On Feb. 5, 2012, plaintiff Raymond Wong was traveling southbound on Garfield Ave. in Monterey Park. Defendant Francisco Hernandez was also traveling southbound on Garfield, when he attempted to change lanes and collided with plaintiff. Plaintiff filed suit against Hernandez and defendant Edmundo Angulo Jr., who owned the vehicle.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiff claimed Hernandez made an unsafe lane change and was negligent in the operation of his vehicle. Plaintiff claimed Angulo was negligent in entrusting Hernandez with his vehicle.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
Defendants admitted liability, but disputed the extent and nature of plaintiff's claimed injuries and damages.

Settlement Discussions

Expedited jury trial per CCP 630, et. seq. The jury consisted of eight members, requiring six out of the eight jurors to agree on a verdict. The parties agreed to an $8,000-$20,000 high-low agreement.
