Petitioner, a general contractor, was hired by respondent to perform construction work on a single-family residence. It filed a motion to confirm an arbitration award in its favor.

Contentions

PETITIONER'S CONTENTIONS:
Petitioner contended that it won an arbitration award in the amount of $41,946.54 against respondent for his failure to pay petitioner for work performed. As such, it contended that it was entitled to enforcement of the award, plus interest.

Result

The court granted petitioner's motion and entered judgment in its favor in the amount of $44,225.99, which included interest as accrued from the date of the award.
