Defendant TEKsystems, Inc. employed plaintiffs Brandon Price and Charles Adams. Plaintiffs filed a class action lawsuit against defendant alleging violations of the California Business and Professions Code section 17200.

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiffs contended that defendant did not pay them for off-the-clock hours, overtime, as well as sufficient rest and meal breaks.

Result

Parties reached a $1.9 million settlement, which included $25,000 payment each to Price and Adams; $40,000 to the claims administrator; $570,000 attorney fees; and $12,000 for costs. Final approval of settlement granted June 26, 2008.
