Louie Padilla Jr. went to the 99 Cents Only Store in Alhambra. While waiting at a cash register, the sliding door shelf at the register came crashing down. Padilla jumped backward and fell, injuring his left ankle and foot.

Padilla sued 99 Cents Only Stores, alleging that the defendant failed to properly repair and/or maintain the shelf.

Damages

Padilla claimed $7,425 in past medical costs.

Injuries

Padilla was diagnosed with a crush injury to his left foot and a sprain of his left ankle.
