PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiff contended he was kneeling on the seat, facing the opposite direction, when the driver negligently tried to make a left term without yielding to oncoming traffic. The driver was following the vehicle in front too closely and had to stop short, causing plaintiff to fall and hit his head.
Injuries
The plaintiff sustained multiple injuries, including intracranial hematoma; eye injury; neurological injury; knee injury; paresthesia of the feet; and emotional distress.
Result
The parties settled for $25,000, which included $10,185 in medical expense, $6,000 in attorney fees, and $671 in costs.
