Roland Shehadeh sued Christopher Bailey, based on an accident between a pedestrian and a vehicle.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Shehadeh claimed that on Feb. 18, 2013, he was walking on the sidewalk of a public street when a vehicle, driven by Bailey, hit him. Bailey had been turning into a gas station when he struck Shehadeh. Shehadeh then sued Bailey, arguing that he had failed to yield to a pedestrian.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Bailey argued that Shehadeh's shoulder injury was not caused by the accident.

Damages

Shehadeh requested $10,000 for his past medical costs.

Injuries

Shehadeh was diagnosed with a hip contusion and a partial rotator cuff tear. He required shoulder surgery and physical therapy.

Result

The parties settled for $60,191.
